Waking up and working through your morning ritual sets the tone for the rest of your day. Most everyone has a set of activities that they do every morning to start their day, and adding some or all of these five activities can improve your life:
 1. Eat a good, hearty breakfast

Doctors and moms are always telling us to eat breakfast because it is the "most important meal of the day". This is because it starts your metabolism, which is great for maintaining a healthy weight and making sure your body is running as well as it can. It also allows your brain to function fully because there are nutrients fueling your brain activity. Not only is it physically beneficial, but also breakfast food is delicious and easy to make! It's a great way to satisfy a craving so there are fewer cravings throughout the day.
 2. Write out a to-do list

Although writing out a to-do list may seem like a stressful way to start your day, it is actually the complete opposite. Mapping out the things you need to get done for the rest of the day will let you plan accordingly. It will also allow you to avoid feeling overwhelmed because you know what is expected for you that day. Lastly, when finishing the tasks on your to-do list one by one it gives a sense of accomplishment being able to cross each task off the to-do list.
 3. Start practicing daily meditation

Meditation is a great way to clear your mind and start each day fresh. An important part of morning meditation is wiping away all negative emotions, both from the far past and from just yesterday. This will allow your new day to unfold in a positive manner. It is also a great relaxation technique, and there are few people who do not work more efficiently and feel happier when they are relaxed.
 4. Take a shower

Taking a shower is beneficial to the start of your day in many ways. First, showering is very relaxing for most people. Next, it will make you feel clean, new and fresh. Lastly, it helps you actually wake up. The feeling of the water and also the act of undressing and redressing is a great way to wake yourself up without being too jarring.
 5. Read a motivational quote every morning

In order to inspire yourself to be better as a person every day, a motivational quote is a great way to start your day. It can also be helpful when motivating you to do things you do not want to do throughout the day, or to help you deal with tough situations in your life by giving you more confidence. It will also make you think more positively during your morning routine, which will translate to the rest of your day and make your day more positive. By doing this every day, it will create a generally happier life.
By implementing all or some of these activities into your daily life, it will make your life much more positive.
