A Royal Visit (and Greek fasion house Zeus+Dione)

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall
visited Athens from May 9 to May 11, 2018,
on an official visit, the fιrst official visit since the 1950s
Camilla was dazzling, as only love and contentment at the side of her man, can make a woman feel.
The saw all the people they were supposed to meet, and they venture to Crete, where the indulged in traditional (no syrtaki!) Greek dancing.

Beautifully dressed on the spot were Marianna Vardinogianni, the wife of Greek oil tycook Vardis, and Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotaki, the wife of New Democracy opposition leader, dressed in Zeus+Dione
Mrs. Grabowski own fashion house clothes and shoes.
Mareva wears the silk  HERA blouse,  DOKOS trousers and SPARTA sandals
while Marianna the MIRA blouse.

A Royal wedding

I am so romantic when it comes to weddings!
I felt so happy to see a trully British wedding unfold when Pippa Middleton, the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge walked down the aisle to marry her longtime boyfriend, financier James Matthews in front of about 150 guests at St Mark's Church in Englefield, Berkshire, at a  11:30am service. May they live happy and well and long!
And may we be happier!

Royal in Athens

Did I trick you into reading this post , by its title?
I hope I did, because Royal doesn't get any more royal than this rest-bar in the heart of Athens.
It used to be one of the residences of King Otto and Queen Amalia, the first loving king and queen of Greece at the beginning of the 19th century.
Today the residence at 16-18 Kalamiotou str. is a lovely greek-with-a-twist restaurant and bar with cocktails like the one named after Helen of Troy. Between Hera, goddess of marriage, this queen of Sparta, chose Aphrodite, goddess of love. I very much feel for her!
Do let me know when you visit Athens!
I'll be glad to show you around the best unseen spots of us locals, at a very reasonable fee.

Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece Christmas

Marie-Chantal Miller is one of the most stylish women of our times. She is poised and strong willed.
She has also created a beautiful family with Crown Prince Paul of Greece.

She is also a working mother (all be it a priviledged one) with her cute, classic line of children's clothes.

Princess Marie-Chantal spent Christmas with India Hicks, daughter of the late Interior Designer David Hicks and Pamela Mountbatten.

Of course between cups of coffee, travelling and working,

our very stylish Crown Princess

made her home look comfortable for Christmas.

Happy New Year!

explores the charms of French couture,

The wife of  Prince Charles has been exploring Paris, and among her official duties she has found the time to indulge in Art and everyday pleasures such as the open markets.

Walking tour: The Duchess of Cornwall views Venus de Milo during a visit to the Louvre Museum

First stop: Her first stop of the trip took her to the Emmaus community qt Bougival, to the West of Paris

Royal style-Everyday chic

I like women who are classy, a touch individualistic and always put together. I like women who know how to dress for every occasion and according to their function and age.
The pictures I picked today illustrate my point.
I chose royalty because I believe that one of the reasons for having a royal family is to have them serve as an example to the people. Providing stability to the State and controlling the deeds of the government are tops in my list.

This is Laurentien of the Netherlands.
She is visiting a school in The Hague, where she read to the children as part of a program to encourage the love of books and reading.

This is the Swedish royal family.
Pictured are from left to right Princess Christina, Queen Silvia, King Carl Gustav and Crown Princess Victoria.
I like the way Queen Silvia is put together. Classic two pieces, in a fresh colour that suits her complexion. Prncess Victoria's dress code is also appropriate because at her age we all want to look more grown up and gain respect. Plus there is talk of the king abdicating in favor of her, so it's a yes, too.

Queens do get to wear their clothes more than once.
Queen Silvia does!
Here she is visiting the national employment agency in Stockholm.

I like kids who are kids.
I absolutely love this photo of Princess Alexandra of Norway with her father and grandfather.
Ingrid is a sweet, happy, beautiful nine year old girl. Lovely.
