Vintage Thingie Thursday-Holly Hobbie 1977

Hello dear friends,
I have decided to join the Vintage Thingie Thursday at Colorado Lady. I have a growing appreciation for older objects in the past couple of years, so I thought I'd share my love for them with you. For the first post, I have picked an item that is not very old, but is of one of my favorite childhood characters. I have grown up with Holly Hobbie and Sarah Kay and those romantic images. I want to bring some of that to my life, from a time more romantic and innocent that my daughters have not experiences as much as I did. So here is one of my Holly Hobbie objets.

This vintage tea towell from 1977, a very nice year in my life, reads "Simple pleasures, life's treasures" which is my belief, too. Purchased from Retrolabs at Etsy.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope to join many, many more Vintage Thingie Thursdays and visit with all of you.

love, Irene

It's so cute! It definitely reminds me of being 8 years old - funny how somethings just click right into a year, right? I received my lovely giveaway - thanks so much for the beautiful print, and the lavender sachet pillow. It was so very sweet of you! Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ!

I too LOVE Holly Hobbie. My sister is about 7 years younger than I am and she was so into HH in the 1970's. I was a little too old to appreciate them then, but they remind me of my little sister everytime I see them now. I do remember those tee-towel calendars. Very cool vintage :)

Blessings!
Gail

When I was growing up, we had nothing like this. No money, but we still found ways to enjoy what we had. Great memories to pass down to your children.

I remember Holly Hobbie well. One of my friends had her room decorated with all Holly Hobbie and I wanted mine like that too, of course it did not happen!! Love your towel. So glad you linked in today, Happy VTT!

I always thought of Holly Hobbie as more of an adult thing because of all the plates etc.
